Description

  • Manage vessel safety operations, including maintaining SMS, SSP, and MLC compliance, as well as RightShip requirements across the fleet; monitor documentation and manage safety certificates such as SMC, ISSC, and MLC.
  • Perform maritime safety tasks, including:
    • Monitoring marine weather forecasts and issuing safety alerts to vessels.
    • Providing nautical charts and maritime publications to the fleet.
    • Supporting Port State Control (PSC) inspections for company vessels.
    • Assisting in maintaining and implementing RightShip assessments across the fleet.
    • Managing and inspecting vessels and onboard equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Management Board.

Requirements

A. Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies (seafaring disciplines)

B: Work Experience

  • Experience serving in a management or operational position on first-class vessels, or extensive experience as a Deck Officer (Second Officer or above) on international fleets (e.g., Nippon, NYK, etc.).

C: Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the ISM Code, ISPS Code, and the MLC 2006 Convention, as well as other international maritime conventions issued by the International Maritime Organization.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Other Requirements

  • Trained in auditing/assessment of maritime management systems (preferred).
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work under pressure, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Age under 35.
