On March 4, 2024, HTK-SIMEX officially welcomed the arrival of HTK NEW SKY, a new Ultramax-class vessel with a deadweight of nearly 64,000 tons. The reception ceremony took place at Hon Gai port with the participation of company representatives, the vessel’s crew, and operational staff.

This marks the fourth consecutive vessel invested in and received by HTK since 2021 as part of its long-term strategy to expand tonnage capacity and rejuvenate the fleet. HTK NEW SKY is equipped with modern, fuel-efficient technology and advanced emission control systems, allowing it to operate on international routes while meeting the increasingly stringent environmental regulations of global maritime authorities.

With the addition of HTK NEW SKY, HTK’s total fleet capacity now approaches 500,000 DWT, affirming the company’s position as one of the leading bulk carrier operators in Vietnam.
