Hai Phong is ready for the opening night of the Red Flamboyant Festival 2026

The opening night of the Red Flamboyant Festival – Hai Phong 2026 will take place spectacularly on the evening of May 8.

On the evening of May 6, at the City Political–Administrative Center Square, the Hai Phong People’s Committee held the final rehearsal for the opening art program of the Red Flamboyant Festival – Hai Phong 2026, themed “Hai Phong – Convergence – Radiance.”

Mr. Le Ngoc Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee, and Head of the city’s National Assembly Delegation, attended and directed the rehearsal.

Also attending were Mr. Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Committee, and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Red Flamboyant Festival – Hai Phong 2026; members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee; Vice Chairpersons of the City People’s Committee; members of the Organizing Committee, support teams, and festival subcommittees; leaders of the City Party Committee Office and the City People’s Committee Office; the City Arts Council; the live broadcast production team from Vietnam Television; the chief director, scriptwriters, and the entire creative and performance crew.

After listening to feedback from delegates and members of the City Arts Council, Mr. Le Ngoc Chau, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee, acknowledged the efforts of the participating units, the creative team, and the City Arts Council for their dedication to refining the program.

Emphasizing that this is an important political and cultural event attended by leaders of the Party and State, diplomatic delegations, and a large audience watching both live and on national television, Mr. Le Ngoc Chau requested all units to continue close coordination, further improve artistic and technical quality, and ensure that the program is conducted solemnly and safely, meeting the expectations of audiences at home and abroad.

The image of the Bach Dang stakes and the heroic battle against foreign invaders fought by our army and people on the historic Bach Dang River is recreated in the program.

The opening art program of the Red Flamboyant Festival – Hai Phong 2026, themed “Hai Phong – Convergence – Radiance,” will take place at 8:10 PM on May 8 (Friday) at the City Political–Administrative Center Square. The event will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television, Hai Phong Newspaper and Radio & Television channels, as well as local television stations nationwide.

This year’s opening art program is structured into three chapters revolving around the theme “Hai Phong – Convergence – Radiance,” portraying the city’s development journey from its deep historical roots to its dynamic present and aspirations for the future.

The artistic space combines traditional and modern elements, blending live performances with stage technology to create a symbolic and highly inspiring overall experience.

The program brings together many renowned artists and singers, including People’s Artists Khanh Hoa and Nhat Thuan; Meritorious Artists Dang Duong and Vu Thang Loi; as well as singers Trong Tan, My Tam, Pham Thu Ha, Duong Hoang Yen, Nguyen Ngoc Anh, and thousands of professional and amateur performers, contributing to a vibrant and captivating outdoor music festival.

The event will also feature the largest artistic fireworks display ever held in the Port City.

A giant LED screen vividly portrays the convergence of the heroic traditions of the Port City and the rich cultural heritage of the Eastern region.

The final rehearsal was carried out seriously and methodically, closely following the overall script of the program. All components—from welcoming delegates, organizing the ceremony, and conducting the opening rituals to the artistic performances—were reviewed in a synchronized and seamless manner.

The large-scale outdoor stage system, combined with modern performance technology, sound and lighting systems, and LED screens, was tested to ensure accuracy and strong visual effects. Security, safety, fire prevention and fighting, traffic control, medical services, and logistics were also carefully inspected and fully prepared for the official opening night.
